Department 56 Christmas village display 2009/2010
This is my winter of 2009 Dept 56 Village display. In the first part of the display you will see some Snow village mixed in with CIC and then a long section of Dickens Village, followed by some NEV and the last part is Dickens and CIC. It takes about 50 hours for two people in a week to set up, and it is on display at least every two years in my parish social hall for 5-6 weeks. Sorry about the slightly shaky quality of the video. I didn’t have a rolling tripod and wanted to see how it would turn out. Hopefully it’s not too bad.

CHRISTMAS LIGHT DISPLAY 2010 SOUTHERN ADELAIDE
This is my Christmas Light Display for 2010 at Seafarer Court, Seaford Rise, Adelaide.
It’s a labor of love but it’s my favorite time of the year and the it’s the season for giving, so I enjoy putting up the lights, I do it so other people will enjoy what I love about Christmas time, I don’t believe in fancy light displays like light a rama boxes, just plain and simple and traditional is fine with me, stand by for next year where we will have a larger display, this was our first year doing a huge display, so I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making the display …..

None of these shops and businesses entered the Thornbury Chamber of Commerce shop display competition, despite having a Christmas display (of sorts).
This is my judging of the quality of those displays in my fictitious alternative competition.

Its Called Christmas – Fantastic Christmas Light Display
125,000 LIGHTS! This is the best computer programmed light display I have ever seen. It actually stretched between 3 houses.

While on a much smaller scale than in North America, some New Zealanders decorate their houses with christmas lights. This is the most well known display in Auckland. The residents compete against each other, and people come from all over Aucks to see their handiwork.

When do the christmas light displays start at Christmas Tree Ln and the Balian house in Altadena?
I went too early last year, and the lights were up, but not lit yet. A friend of mine wants to go on her birthday, which is in mid-December, I just want to make sure whether they’ll be lit by then. I can’t seem to find a date online, does anyone know when they start lighting them?
I don’t think they light up the house or lane on a specific date each year, but it’s always by mid-December, so chances are good it will be by your friend’s birthday. Also, check out upper Hastings Ranch (northeast Pasadena), blocks of lit up houses, and there are also some in Sierra Madre (on the east border of northeast Pasadena).
