help, christmas lights on a dusk to dawn sensor started flashing on and off this evening because of the snow?

hi all, have outdoor christmas lights hooked up to a dusk to dawn sensor. it just started snowing this evening and now the lights turn on and off, tried moving the sensor but it i think its reflecting the lights off the snow. Any ideas to stop it flashing?
O its one of those stake outlets with a sensor on it. Last year it worked flawlessly even in the snow? Cant understand now why its flashing?

Put tape over the lens until the snow stops
