Does the radio bombard and over do it with the Christmas music?
I think so. I mean, it’s ridiculous. It starts on the day after Thanksgiving, and goes all the way up to January 1st! Most stations play a Christmas song every 2nd song. From the very old (at least 50 years old) all the way up to the newer Christmas songs. Some are very slow (33 record speed) and very depressing. Like if you were a drinker, they would have you reaching for the bottle of Jack Daniels. Some are OK though but they still over do it. When it’s over and done I can say, ahhh, finally regular music again lol !
Cyber You are so right seems like they all want to be first with Christmas music. I think before long one of the stations will just play it all year long.

in 2008, there was a radio station in twin cities, minnesota that started playing that music early November. Only a few stations here play xmas music and they start after Tday. Some boast that their xmas music is better because the songs are sung by more modern singers/bands. I think they should wait much later like maybe a week before. Good God.

The basics of business dictate that if there is a demand for a product, you must deliver it. Apparently there are more people who want to hear wall-to-wall Christmas music than do not…otherwise why would radio stations do it??? That would explain why several radio stations do it in the same markets year after year.
As with all things Christmas….it is business.

NO way, Christmas music is wonderful!!! I wish they would start playing after our Thanksgiving which is in Oct!

Here in Ny one of the radio stations went to ALL christmas music on Halloween!!
